Unlike plastic or paper films, its nonwoven fabric surface, designed by 3M to retain dirt, dust, residues and fumes, also prevents smaller particles from spreading into the environment, where they would go to settle on the surfaces, causing damage and increasing rework. This material also resists light impacts and abrasions, which makes it suitable for environments where it is possible that the fall of nuts, bolts and small tools or where metal chips are present.
