It is equipped with abrasive to the alumina and zirconia mineral that autofracture, with a higher cutting speed than aluminum oxide and versatile performance on many types of metal. The 566A laminated disc consists of a durable but flexible YF cotton-polyestre support, suitable for treating sharp edges and high-media pressure applications; is therefore a great choice for the majority of sanding and finishing activities. It is bonded with resin to resist heat. In normal conditions, the lamellar discs generate a finishing of a finer degree than that of the fiber discs of the same degree. Lamellar discs are three-dimensional sanding discs, with overlapping layers or stripes starting from a central hub. These abrasive-coated cotton-polyester blades are constantly worn with use, exposing ever new mineral for fast and constant cutting. Moreover, since the overlapping structure allows you to load more abrasive material on the cutting surface, they last much more than normal discs. Lamellar discs are ideal for a wide range of applications, including sanding small welds (lower than 80 degrees), deburring, rust removal, edge sanding and welding. Allumina-zirconia (often called AZ or zirconia-allumina) is frequently broken to produce sharp points and provide a higher cutting speed than aluminum oxide. This synthetic mineral has been developed for the removal of heavy material and for high pressure sanding.
