These discs are ideal for a wide range of applications, mainly focused on material removal, and are also effective on numerous substrates, such as metals, composite materials, gelcoats and softwood. Film support provides higher tear resistance than paper discs, ensuring greater durability and good edge maintenance. The best results are achieved by using the product along with rotary sanders 3M XtractTM. The open structure makes it possible for abrasive granules to have a certain space, so as to facilitate the extraction of powders and other carding residues, avoiding the cutting edge of granules. Intasting-resistant sprinkling allows the disc to continue cutting even during the sanding of softwoods, paints and other materials that would otherwise tend to cut the disc and to hinder the efficiency of the sanding. This results in increased productivity and less material consumption. Abrasive paper discs cut more effectively and last longer when no dust accumulates on the cutting surface of abrasive granules. Our multi-powered product design 3M Xtract removes dust at a higher speed than products at 5 or 6 holes. This design does not even require alignment of the holes with the plator, allowing you to replace the discs faster and easier. To achieve maximum dust suction, this disk can be used with a support plate 3M Xtract and a rotary sander with suction system (both sold separately).
