Effectively mask in high temperature applications The polyester tape 3Mtm 8991 is a polyester tape that meets general requirements, ideal for masking in high temperature applications. Translucent blue support is tear resistant. Covered with a silicone adhesive, this tape works well in masking for powder coating to provide defined paint lines. Removes cleanly and easily from most surfaces, avoiding chippings and breaks. With good chemical resistance, this tape works effectively in chemical processes and in challenging working conditions, such as anodising. Pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive works in a wide range of temperatures ranging from -60° F (-50° C) to 400° F (204° C).
