The Scotch-BriteTM Clean and Finish sheet allows effective cleaning, masking and conditioning of metal, wood, composite materials and advanced surfaces. Our Scotch-BriteTM Clean and Finish sheets can also be used for painting. The Scotch-BriteTM Clean and Finish multi-purpose sheets can be used for processing cabinets, specific woodworking activities, carpentry, furniture processing, metal processing, primary wood processing and panel processing. These unwoven, washable and reusable open-sheets develop little heat and resist clogging to offer constant conditioning properties for the entire life of the product. These 152mm x 228mm sheets can be used for precise control, with a manual hose to allow a uniform finish or on an inline sanding machine to cover larger surfaces. They can be folded, stacked or rolled for an effective cleaning or conditioning on flat, irregular or shaped surfaces. Scotch-BriteTM Clean and Finish sheets are available with abrasive mineral in silicon carbide, aluminium oxide or talc. Silicon carbide is a very sharp synthetic mineral and generally used in low-pressure applications such as finishing and painting preparation. Aluminium oxide is a hard and blocks mineral that ensures high cutting speed and long life. While silicon carbide breaks faster than aluminum oxide, this produces a finer finish. The talc is a delicate abrasive that can be used to obtain a satin finish or polish to create highly glossy finish in the sanding of the surface coating. Scotch-BriteTM abrasives are exclusive products for surface processing, equipped with abrasive granules embedded in a fabric-non-woven fiber plot. The combination of abrasive and nonwoven fabric creates an abrasive system that offers constant results throughout the product life cycle. The open texture material develops little heat and is resistant to clogging. In this way, it preserves the cutting capacity of abrasive mineral, limiting fiber clogging.
