The precut tape 3Mtm for gaskets has a rigid band that slips quickly and simple between the moldings and the body shell. Tapes with different width bands are available for greater versatility in vehicle masking operations. The robust polymer film support firmly lifts molding, protecting it against paint fumes. The translucent liner on the adhesive side of the tape is easily removed, for precise positioning. The paint flows into the small spaces between the raised moldings and the body shell. When the masking tape is removed, the moldings return to position, without leaving anti-exthetic paint lines on the body, which should be subsequently removed.
